Who we are
RigArmory is a PC inventory and upgrade-analysis service operated by Axel Sköld in Sweden. Axel Sköld is the controller for personal data processed by RigArmory. This policy explains what information the service holds about you, why it holds it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus the display name you choose.
- Your builds and inventory. The components you add, equip, save to your wishlist and any build names or notes you enter.
- Support requests. The email address, category, subject and message you send us, so we can reply.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs needed to run the service securely, such as request times and error details.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking services.
Why we use it
- To create your account and let you sign in securely.
- To store your builds and produce your analysis and upgrade suggestions.
- To send necessary service emails, such as verification and password resets.
- To answer support requests and protect the service against abuse.
Trying the service without an account
If you build a PC as a guest, those selections are kept in your own browser's local storage on your device. They are only sent to us if you choose to create an account and save the build. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Sharing a build publicly
A build is private by default. If you choose to share one, anyone with the link can see that build's components and analysis. Your email address is never shown on a shared build page. You can stop sharing at any time.
Who else processes your data
We use service providers to run RigArmory on our behalf: hosting and database infrastructure that stores your account and builds, and an email provider that delivers account and support emails. They process data only to provide those services to us. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Your account data and builds are kept for as long as your account exists. Support requests are kept while we handle them and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, builds, inventory and wishlist.
Your choices
You can update your account details in Settings and delete your account permanently at any time from Settings. To ask a privacy question or exercise your data-protection rights, contact us through the Support page. The support form is available without signing in. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, object to, restrict, port or stop the handling of your personal data.
Cookies and similar storage
RigArmory does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We store a sign-in session and a small number of interface preferences on your own device. These are strictly necessary for the service to work or are set only when you act, so no consent banner is needed.
Security
Access to your data is restricted to your own account through database-level access rules, traffic is encrypted in transit, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
RigArmory is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in the service.
